Leila Ethelle Hufstetler Smith

ATLANTA -- Leila Ethelle Hufstetler Smith, 83, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, in Atlanta.

Services were held at 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, with the Rev. Gary Rivers officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.

Donehoo-Lewis Funeral Home of Hapeville was in charge of arrangements.



Kim I'Na Zirkle

NASHVILLE -- Kim I'Na Zirkle, 39, of Nashville died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at South Georgia Medical Center.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Flat Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Mickey Lindsey and Bob Holland officiating. Burial will be in Flat Creek Cemetery.

Born Dec. 29, 1962, in Mitchell County, Mrs. Zirkle was the daughter of Eston Morrison and Lydia Wilder Morrison. She was a homemaker and a shipping clerk with Nashville Mills. Mrs. Zirkle was a loving mother and wife who died from complications during the birth of her daughter. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pelham.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Zirkle of Nashville; a daughter, Markaela Zirkle of Nashville; three sons, Dustin Harper of Douglas, Zack Harper and Maison Zirkle, both of Nashville; her parents, Eston and Lydia Morrison of Pelham; three sisters, Gwanna Strickland and Sheila Collins, both of Moultrie, and Cheri Bentley of Pelham; and a brother, Charles Morrison of Wiggins, Miss.

Visitation will be today after 3 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 7-9 p.m.

Verna Kelley Bailey

MOULTRIE -- Verna Kelley Bailey, 88, of Moultrie died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, at her residence.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, at Harrell-Faircloth Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Albritton officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Bailey, Michael Edge, David Cash and Jerrod Baker.

Born May 3, 1914, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Bailey was the daughter of the late Robert and Minnie Kelley. She was a homemaker and a retired seamstress with Warner Manfacturing. She was a member of Kingwood Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman F. Bailey; two brothers, Dallas Kelley and Robert Lee Kelly; a sister, Jewell Beason; and a great-granddaughter, Nicole Bailey.

Survivors include a son, Wandell Bailey and wife Margaret of Moultrie; a brother, Boyd Kelley of Thomasville; a sister, Gladys Williams of Funston; five grandchildren, Allen Bailey and Debra, Jean Salts and David, Sandra Sellers, Barbara Garrison, Ricky Bailey and Tonya; 18 great-grandchildren, Rebecca Davis, Albert Bailey, Michael Bailey, John Bailey, Tammy Baker, David Cash, Alicia Myrick, Carolee Martinez, Jeremey Pruitt, Jerome Pruitt, Kevin Miller, Johnni Marie Gonyea, Brian Davis, Ryan Garrison, Lindsey Garrison, Heather Bailey, Devin Adderton and Michael Edge; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

ADEL -- Francis Nicole Bailey, 26, of Adel died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002, at South Georgia Medical Center. Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, at Harrell-Faircloth Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Albritton officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Bailey, Michael Edge, David Cash and Jerrod Baker.

Born Oct. 28, 1976, in Colquitt County, Ms. Bailey was the daughter of Jackie Eyerly and Francis Allen Bailey. She was a homemaker and a mother. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Chelsie Nicole Truett and Courtney Nicole Truett, both of Adel; her mother, Jackie Eyerly of California; her father, Francis Allen Bailey of Moultrie; her grandmothers, Margaret Bailey and Carolyn Truett; her grandfathers, Wandell Bailey and Billy Truett; three brothers, John Bailey and Michael Bailey, both of Pensacola, Fla., and Albert Bailey of Moultrie; two sisters, Rebecca Davis of North Carolina and Amanda Mercer of Moultrie.

STATESBORO -- Phillip C. Murphy





, 39, of Statesboro, formerly of Moultrie, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Marietta Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his parents, the Rev. C. Irvin and Dorothy Murphy; a brother, Kenneth D. Murphy; a sister, Sharon Crumpton; his grandmother, Nathalee Allen; and several nieces and nephews.
