Gregory Benard Bright

FAIRFAX, Va. -- Gregory Benard Bright, 32, of Fairfax, Va., died Thursday, Oct.3, 2002 in Fairfax.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Strong Funeral Home Chapel with Superintendent Paul E. Hayes and Rev. Freddie Turner. Interment will be at Sinner Friend Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartsfield.

Born April 17, 1970 in Moultrie, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Pallbearers are Jerome Bright, Martin Bright, Kenneth Edwards Prescott Patillo, Ramone Bright and Cain Bright.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Bright, and sister, Jacqueline Denise Bright.

Survuvors include his wife, Tammy Bright, of Germany; aunts, Lorene Moore, Annie B. Davis, both of Moultrie, and Fannie Sutton, of Norman Park; two uncles, John Bright, of Miami, Fla., and Acie Bright, of Orlando, Fla; faithful cousins, Antonio Edwards, of Valdosta, Hope Edwards, Pam Little, Margie Bright, Martin Bright and Meritta Patillo, all of Moultrie, and Jerome Bright, of Doerun. two neices, Erica Floyd and Derica Floyd, both of Lenox, and other relatives and friends.

Strong Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Michael Anthony Jones

CONYERS -- Michael Anthony Jones, 24, of Conyers, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002 in Covington.

Services will be held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Baker Funeral Home with the revs. Kelly, of Macon, and Stanley Norman, of Moultrie. Burial will be at Cobb Suncrest Cemetery.

Born Nov. 17, 1977 in Moultrie, Mr. Jones was the son of Elvia Edwards, of Macon, and Terry Jones, of Moultrie. He served four years in the Marine Corps.

Pall bearers are Keith Jones, Kevin Jones, Bobby Gay, Don Shands, Keith Brown and Kerry Caine.

Survivors include his wife, Shanitra Jones, of Conyers; stepfather, Bob Edwards, of Macon; stepmother, Judy Jones, of Moultrie; mother-in-law, Audrey Stallion; son, Anthony Jones, of Conyers; daughters, Asia and Jasmine Jones, of Conyers; brother, Timothy (TJ) Jones and wife Melissa, of Michigan, sisters Amanda and Jennifer Jones of Moultrie and grandparent Hilda Jones.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Emory Julian Jones and uncle Tony Jones.

Family will receive friends at the home of Terry and Judy Jones, 2926 Old Doerun Road, Moultrie. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1 at Baker Funeral Home, who is in charge of arrangements.

Vivian Laverne Willis Hamilton

BERLIN -- Vivian Laverne Willis Hamilton, 63, of Berlin, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002 at her residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3 at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Buck Woods officiating. Burial will be at Old Ty Ty Cemetery.

Born July 7, 1939 in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Rosa Lee Powell Willis and William Artie Willis. She was a seamstress at Riverside Manufacturing, and was a member at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church.

Pall bearers will be Shannon Meads, Jeremy Meads, David Hamilton, Hardy Wyatt, Mitchell Dombroski and Larry Hamilton.

Survivors include husband, Burrell Hamilton Jr., of Berlin; son, Tommy Hamilton and wife Sharon, of Moultrie; daughter, Connie C. Meads and husband Terry E., of Sylvester; sisters, Margaret Willis Dudar, of Albany, N.Y. and Helen Willis Wyatt, of Columbia, S.C.; grandchildren, Shannon Meads, Jeremy Meads, Melissa H. Spainhour, David Hamilton and Teresa Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Andrew Spainhour and Tyler J. Meads; sister-in-law, Laverne Wilson Willis, of Omega.

Mrs. Hamilton is preceded in death by a brother, Charles C. Willis.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Cobb Funeral Chapel. The family may be contacted at the family residence, 228 Ingram Street, Berlin.
