MOULTRIE — Two teen-agers were apprehended when a off-duty Moultrie police officer allegedly spotted them breaking into a car Tuesday night.

Devorioan Debruce, 18, of 2404 Jacqueline Circle, and Tamorious Collins, 17, of 207 Hillcrest Ave., were each charged with entering an automobile.

A Moultrie police officer responded to Georgetown Apartments on 15th Street Southeast at 10:31 p.m. Tuesday after the off-duty officer requested assistance. The off-duty officer was holding two males, identified as Debruce and Collins, at gunpoint after they allegedly entered a BMW 530-I.

The off-duty officer stated an anonymous person allegedly saw Debruce and Collins entering the BMW that was parked in a garage at the apartment complex. They allegedly stole an Apple iPod from inside the car, but it was recovered and returned to the owner, George Matthew. Matthew stated he may have left the car unlocked.

Debruce and Collins were taken to Colquitt County Jail, where police said a shell casing was found in one of their pockets.
