A Moultrie man reported he was robbed of his shoes and his meal at gunpoint early Sunday morning.

A Moultrie police officer was called to a house on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive about 1:50 a.m. Sunday about a robbery. The officer spoke with Willie Clayton, and he stated he was walking on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive when he was approached by three black males.

Clayton stated the men demanded all of his possessions, and one of the men pulled out a gun and pointed it at his neck, threatening to kill him. Clayton gave over a $5 bill, a gizzard dinner and a pair of Nike shoes before the three men ran from the scene. The value of the stolen items was $110.

Clayton returned to his house before contacting police, and he gave the officer a partial description and the name of a male suspect. He did not report being injured in the incident. Read this and other crime news in Tuesday's Moultrie Observer.
