1. A Moultrie man was apprehended after he allegedly got into an argument with his wife and threatened to kill her while in front of their children Sunday night.

Alberto Alarcon Morales, 27, of 657 Circle Road, Lot 8, was charged with making terroristic threats and acts, battery, four counts of cruelty to children and obstruction. Further charges could be added pending an investigation. Read more details of this story in Tuesday's Moultrie Observer.



2. A Moultrie man allegedly drove away from a restaurant intoxicated Sunday morning, resulting in his arrest. It just happened that a couple of Moultrie police officers had stopped for a break at the same restaurant.

Rahsaan L. Davis, 24, of 901 Hillcrest Ave., was charged with DUI.

Two Moultrie police officers were eating at Waffle House on First Avenue Southeast at 2:41 a.m. Sunday when Davis came up to one of them in an alleged instigating manner. The officer told him to sit down and finish his meal because he was being loud and was unsteady on his feet. He left the restaurant  and allegedly was spotted driving a vehicle.
