MOULTRIE -- The Colquitt County Drug Enforcement Team arrested a man Friday after serving a search warrant on a Moultrie apartment.

Chad Sebastian Logan, 25, was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, according to Lt. Jerry Green, commander of the DET.

"We served a search warrant at 820 Northside Drive, Apt. 1, this morning at about 0930," Green said Friday. "Drug agents had previously witnessed two cocaine sales from this address and obtained the warrant."

Green said Logan was in possession of about 13 grams of crack cocaine.

Both city and county law enforcement officers participated in the bust, he said.



Other incidents

A woman reported Thursday an unknown person had created an identification card using her information.

Mary Castleberry reported the incident to police after employees at Bishops on First Street Southeast asked her for identification. When she produced one, she was given a second ID card with the same information.

Reports said Castleberry had her driver's license stolen in February, which included her Social Security number. After the license was stolen, she went and got a new one.

Police told Castleberry how to get a copy of their report then left the store, reports said.

Victor Patel reported an unknown person knocked a 4-foot by 4-foot hole into the wall of the Quik Mart on Highway 133 South and stole a safe with an unknown amount of money inside between 10 p.m. Thursday and 6:24 a.m. Friday. Damage to the store and the total value of the stolen items was estimated at $550.

Jose Velasquez reported an unknown person keyed the driver's door of his Ford Mustang while it was at National Beef on West Bypass Northwest between 2 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $700.

Twanda Warren reported an unknown juvenile threw a rock through the passenger window of her Freightliner truck while it was parked at Shaw Gym on Sixth Street Northwest Thursday. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $100.

Michael Henry of Hillcrest Avenue Southeast reported an unknown person spray painted his Cadillac Deville and spray painted and cut two tires of his Ford Escort between 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7:20 a.m. Thursday. Damage to the vehicles was approximately $680.

Lamier Slaughter of Old Doerun Road reported a male acquaintance stole a Craftsman cordless trim saw from his residence between Tuesday and 11 a.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen trim saw was $160.

David Sinclair of Stokes Road reported an unknown person entered his unlocked Mercury Sable and stole a Charter Arms .38 special handgun between April 1 and 9 a.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen handgun was unknown at the time of report.

Jason Flowers of 29th Avenue Northwest reported an unknown person damaged the passenger side window of his vehicle and stole two Crossfire 10-inch speakers, a Crossfire 300-watt amplifier and a Panasonic CD player between Wednesday and 6:30 a.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen items was unknown at the time of report.

Eddie Summerlin of Summerlin Road reported six dogs killed one of his cows between June 14 and Thursday. Four other cows, all 250 lb. calves, were reported missing.



Arrests

Ernest James Jones, 46, of 239 Gin St. in Barwick, was charged Friday with duty to obey an officer and loitering.

Jerry Lewis McIntosh, 24, of 404 Seventh Ave. S.W., Apartment A-2, was charged Friday with DUI and driving without a license.

Derrick Donta Key, 22, of 734-C Third Avenue Southeast, was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct (family violence).

Robert Lee Aikens III, 48, of 1515 Fourth Ave. N.E., Apartment B-8, was charged Friday with disorderly conduct (family violence).

Linda Kreigbaum, 25, of First Avenue Southwest, was charged Thursday with armed robbery.

Cory Ronzell Daniels, 24, of 112 29th Ave. N.W., was charged Thursday with driving with a suspended license and a lights required violation.
