MOULTRIE -- The Colquitt County seventh-grade girls basketball team defeated Tift County 31-28 on Monday to finished the regular season with a 7-3 record.

The youngest Lady Packers defeated each team on its schedule at least once and will take a three-game winning streak into the conference tournament, which begins Thursday in Douglas.

Laquita Smith led Colquitt County with 12 points. Nicole Thomas added nine, Tiffany Troupe had seven and Kelsey Bohannon had three.

Colquitt's seventh-grade boys fell 25-17 and finished the regular season with a 3-7 record. Chanting Stephenson led Colquitt County with 10 points. Deandrolo Trimble and Michael Hudson had three and Brandon Carter had one.
