MOULTRIE — In a case that likely is worthy of the dumb criminals files a man ran out of a convenience store with a bottle of beer -- but left his wallet at the scene.

Sonya Patel, reported that the man came into the store at 1721 Tallokas Road at 8:45 p.m., took a 24-ounce bottle of beer and left without paying. However, the wallet at the scene contained the identification of a man that matched Patel’s description of the thief.

The beer was valued at $10.
