MOULTRIE, Ga. — Cox Elementary School’s kindergarten and first grade children had a special Christmas field trip to visit The Annie Elf House in Moultrie.
The house is decorated inside with dolls, cars and trucks, bears, tractors and farm animals. There is a doll house and children’s books as well as an antique typewriter and some antique toys.
Christmas music played in the background while children took turns viewing the house. They were met at the door by "Miss Gigi," owner and creator of The Elf House. She has been a mentor at the school for 16 years.
Outside, other elves entertained the waiting children in the yard. Mr. Joe and his monkey, George, were a big hit and Mr. Mike was Jolly Ole Saint Nick and the children loved him. Miss Patricia was a helpful elf to the students and the teachers.
Each child was given an elf gift off of Santa’s Georgia Buggy as they departed.
The Elf House will be open by appointment only on Saturday afternoons until the New Year. A parent may call (229) 217-4896 for an appointment.
