Stocked cart

Marc Eure of Sherwin-Williams, left, is neck-and-neck with Austin McCall of the First United Methodist Church Youth during the first of their two heats in Saturday's Stocked Cart Race.

MOULTRIE, Ga. — Three groups collected food to participate in Saturday's Stocked Cart Race, sponsored by the Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Authority.

Three awards were given out, which worked out perfectly.

The First United Methodist Church Youth was the fastest team.

Publix was named the best decorated cart.

And Sherwin-Williams brought the most food.

The entry fee was $25 worth of nonperishable food, so a Rec Authority official said at least $75 worth of food was collected and donated to the Colquitt County Food Bank.
