MOULTRIE, Ga. — The Moultrie Police Department arrested a woman in connection with an early morning hotel robbery.

Shelby Talley, 47, was arrested Wednesday and charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. She’s accused of robbing the Cocomo Inn and Suites on Thursday, Oct. 3.

Investigator Shavarye Anderson said anonymous tips and receiving other contacts with video evidence was key to the arrest.

“One of the neighboring businesses (of the Cocomo Inn) captured her on video walking from that business going over to commit the robbery,” he said.

The video also caught her vehicle. The business’s name wasn’t released as its video is a part of evidence.

Anderson said he got the search and arrest warrants for Talley and her house on Oct. 8, following suit with the arrest the next day.

“Thank you to the citizens of Moultrie and those that called in to help us with this investigation,” he said.
