MOULTRIE, Ga. — A man accused of criminal trespassing was tased after he allegedly became belligerent with officers trying to arrest him.
Joel Tucker was arrested Wednesday after eluding an outstanding warrant for criminal trespassing.
Investigators Channing McDowell and Justin Searcy, along with the Sheriff’s Department Road Division, received word that Tucker had been sighted on the 5000 block of Cool Springs Road. When officers arrived, Searcy asked Tucker to exit the vehicle when Tucker reportedly became belligerent, uncooperative and hostile.
When Tucker got out of the vehicle, he became even more hostile, investigators said, and officers shocked him with a Taser.
Tucker was wearing a shoulder holster, carrying a black backpack and was in possession of a loaded .44-caliber revolver, investigators said.
