A pedestrian struck Monday by a pickup truck suffered apparent minor injuries.
David Simpson, 616 Third St. S.E., was crossing South Main Street at about 10 .m. when a vehicle turning right from Fourth Avenue Southeast struck in him in the arm and shoulder. The vehicle was a 2002 Chevrolet K1500, Moultrie Police Department reports said.
Joshua Kelley Meister, 458 W. Weeks St., told the officer he looked for traffic before turning onto South Main Street and did not see Simpson at the intersection. He said he heard a loud noise as if he had hit something.
Simpson received injuries to the arm and shoulder when he was hit by the passenger-side mirror, police reports said. There is no crosswalk at the intersection.
The report did not indicate any citations issued in the accident.
Simpson was treated at Colquitt Regional Medical Center and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
