A Moultrie man wanted in Tift County was arrested Thursday afternoon after officers were called to a report of an unwanted guest, Moultrie Police Department reports said.

Joel Gonzalez Jr. was arrested after officers responded at 1:39 p.m. to the 1200 block of Sixth Avenue Northwest. A check indicated that he was wanted on a warrant issued by Tifton Municipal Court.

Gonzalez 19, 1205 Sixth Ave. N.W., was charged with failure to appear on a Tifton warrant.

Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• Jimmy Demetrius Merritt, 37, 1127 10th St. S.E., was charged Wednesday with sale of sale of OxyContin.

Merritt was arrested in a traffic stop and charged on an outstanding warrant.

• Lorenzo Terrell Wilson, 19, 413 11th Court N.W., was charged Friday with probation violation and criminal trespass (family violence).

• Antonio Valdez Mendoza, 41, 797 Circle Road, was charged Thursday with harassing phone calls and probation violation.

• Sauntrissa Lawanda Roberts, 28, 1215 Old Doerun Road, was charged Thursday with harassing phone calls.

Assaults

Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• Alex Haynes, 100 block Halls Lane, reported Thursday that a male co-worker hit him three times in the nose during an argument in the 1200 block of Georgia Highway 133 North.

Haynes, whose shirt was bloody, refused medical attention, sheriff’s reports said.

Property damage

• Robby Ethridge, 500 block George Ethridge Road, reported Thursday a break-in of a storage bin at a pond.

A Zebco 33 rod and reel initially thought to have been stolen later was found on the bank of the pond, apparently after having been used.

• Wiley Greg, 6500 block Lower Meigs Road, reported Thursday that the back door of his residence was kicked in. No entry apparently was made into the the residence.

Moultrie Police Department

• Donald Savage, Moultrie, reported Thursday that a 2003 Dodge Ram was struck by metal ejected from a lawn mower while driving in the 100 block of First Avenue Southwest.

• Marcus Wells, Moultrie, reported Thursday an incident of property damage at Moultrie Physical Therapy, 1912 S. Main St.

• Jane Reynolds, 200 block Causey Road, reported Thursday that a former male companion used her son’s Social Security Income card to pay $700 in charges for installation and payments on a satellite television system.

Moultrie Police Department

• Eudora Edwards, Moultrie, reported Thursday that someone used her Social Security number to file a fraudulent tax return.

• Adrienne Molden, Selena Road, reported Thursday that her personal information was used by someone in filing a fraudulent income tax return.
