MOULTRIE -- Two vehicles were reported stolen in Moultrie Tuesday, and one was later located in the county.
Eric Cooper, of Moultrie, reported about 11 p.m. that his Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from his grandfather's driveway while Cooper went inside to check on him, Moultrie police reports said. The vehicle was running when it was taken.
Eariler, Anthony Martin, of Barber Contracting Company, reported that a Ford F-250 was stolen from his home by an employee, police reports said.The keys were inside.
Shortly afterwards, a Colquitt County deputy saw two males running from the truck that had been driven into a ditch near the intersection of Lakeview Acres and Tompkins roads.
M.J. Powell, of C.S. Powell Road, reported that someone broke the door handle on her car and tore the gasoline lid off, Colquitt County sheriff's reports said.
A man eluded police on foot Wednesday morning after officers tried conduct a traffic stop, MPD reports said. An officer attempted to pull over a white 1988 Chevrolet pickup on the 1100 block of Alberta Avenue when the driver stopped the truck, threw down a paper bag and began running, reports said.
The truck and the bag, which contained a beer, were both seized.
Tina Griffin, 24, 1381 Woodmen Road, was charged Tuesday with disorderly conduct.
Willie Walls, 79, 723 Second St. N.E., was charged Tuesday with driving on a suspended license and DUI.
Harris Sanders, 27, of Tallahassee, Fla., was charged Tuesday with bad checks.
Demetrius Roney, 34, 803 Third St. N.W., was charged Tuesday with violating probation.
Derrick Murray, 43, 618 Fourth Court, Apt. A, was charged Tuesday with violating probation.
