MOULTRIE — Several Colquitt County residents faced charges or reported a wide variety of incidents during the New Year’s Holiday weekend. Many of those facing charges were from traffic violations, thefts and violence against others. Incidents against residents dealt with damage to personal vehicles and counterfeit money.

Charges were brought against:

• Michael Garrett Brown, 20, of 389 Cherokee Drive, was charged Sunday with possession of marijuana less than one ounce, DUI (second offense), failure to stop at an accident with damage and driving with a suspended license.

• Stacie Renae Driver, 36, of 37 Railroad St., was charged Monday with disorderly conduct.

• Jamie Clinton Snipes, 25, of 37 Railroad St., was charged Monday with disorderly conduct.

• Brandy Jean Price, 19, of 1123 West Hancock Drive in Deltona, Fla., was charged Sunday with DUI and striking a fixed object.

• Antonio Perez Soto, 24, of Berlin, was charged Saturday with speeding and driving without a license.

• Edwin Furman Tucker Jr., 17, of 121 New St. in Omega, was charged Friday with theft by shoplifting.

• Jacob Dulier, 21, of 2013 West Blvd., was charged Friday with theft by receiving stolen property.

• Demetrius Dewayne Blackwell, 23, of 1209 Cool Springs Road in Norman Park, was charged Friday with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of cocaine, obstruction and criminal trespassing.

• Gerald Grier Jr., 35, of 115 12th Court N.W., was charged Monday with making harassing phone calls.

• Andre Hunt, 40, of 511 Seventh St. N.W., was charged Monday with theft of services and contempt of court.

• LaMonte Alderman, 52, of 819 Fifth St. N.W., was charged Dec. 13 with discharging a firearm within city limits.

• Jimmy Jerome Lewis, 41, of 1311 First Ave. N.W., was charged Friday with driving with a suspended license and probation violation.

• Adan Morales, 21, of 611 Sardis Church Road, was charged Sunday with DUI, driving without a license and failure to maintain lane.

• Jo-El Andrew Dampier, 38, of 310 Tallokas Road, was charged Tuesday with disorderly conduct.

• Willie James Brown, 28, of 733 Woodlawn Drive in Valdosta, was charged Sunday with driving without a license, DUI and speeding.

• Ambrosio Wenceslao, 28, of 557 Circle Road, was charged Sunday with driving without a license and speeding.

• Raul B. Aguilar, 19, of 129 Cherry Ave., was charged Monday with operating a vehicle without a current plate and driving without a license.

• Corey Ronzell Daniels, 28, of 112 29th Ave. N.W., was charged Saturday with simple battery (family violence) and four counts of cruelty to children.

• Felix Velasquez, 36, of Regency Village, Lot 64, was charged Sunday with DUI, failure to maintain lane, driving without a license and probation violation.

Those reporting being the victim of various incidents were:

• Julia Sharp, of 11th Street Southwest, reported an unknown person kicked in the front door, damaging a door knob, at an apartment behind her residence Monday. Total damage to the residence was estimated at $230.

• An assistant manager at Pizza Hut on First Avenue Southeast reported an unknown person passed three counterfeit $1 bills between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday. The counterfeit bills were collected as evidence by the Moultrie Police Department.

• Marie Williams, of West Central Avenue, reported an unknown person keyed her Ford Focus all over the body between 7 p.m. Saturday and 4:49 p.m. Sunday. Total damage to the vehicle was estimated at over $500.

• Larry Robinson reported a female acquaintance scratched the driver’s side rear area of his Dodge Stratus with an unknown object while he was at the Best Little Store in Georgia on First Avenue Southwest Friday. Damage to the vehicle was unknown at the time of report.

• Teavis Williams reported an unknown person came up behind him, pointed a 9mm handgun at him and threatened him while he was walking on Second Avenue Northwest Friday. Williams was not injured from the incident, and he told officers he believes it was part of an ongoing dispute between him and a Moultrie family.

• Robert Partain, of Indian Lake Drive, reported a male acquaintance exchanged a counterfeit $20 bill with him for a genuine $20 bill Dec. 27. Partain discovered the bill was counterfeit when he attempted to use it the following day.

• Javier Martinez reported an unknown person threw a concrete block through the window of a rental trailer on Alton Road between 8 p.m. Friday and 8:45 a.m. Saturday. Damage to the window was unknown at the time of report.

• Charles Kilgore, of Willis Lake Road in Norman Park, reported a female relative broke a phone by throwing it at a cabinet Monday. Damage to the phone was $200.
