MOULTRIE -- The front window at a local business was shattered Wednesday morning when a tool was thrown through it, Moultrie police reports said.

About midnight, officers responded to a burglar alarm at Moultrie Tire on North Main Street and found the window shattered by a large framing tool, which was found on the floor, report said. Rodney Traylor, the owner, said the tool was taken off a truck that was parked at the business.

Other incidents

Gloria Thomas, of Hallmark Drive, reported Wednesday that someone kicked in her back door and stole two video game systems, valued at $350, police reports said.

Anita Wilson, of Clarence Jones Road, reported Sunday afternoon that someone broke the window of her 1996 Ford Taurus and stole her purse from inside while the car was parked at the bike trail on Lower Meigs Road.


Temekia Snelling, 17, 506 10th Ave. N.W., was charged Wednesday with simple assault.

Wallace NeSmith, 53, 1480 11th Ave. N.W., was charged Wednesday with DUI and speeding.

Rogelio Serrano, 31, Regency Village, was charged Wednesday with violating probation.

Jason Hopper, 24, 3374 Cool Springs Road, was charged Wednesday with violating parole.

Christopher Mincey, 35, Jac-Lyn Apartments, Apt. E-7, was charged Wednesday with using fighting words.
