MOULTRIE -- A 20-year-old Moultrie man suffered head injuries after a female acquaintance struck him with a metal bracket, Moultrie police reports stated.
Tracey Lee Young, 23, 328 Second St. N.W., was charged Friday with aggravated assault, according to police reports.
Young said Xavier Powell, 164 Lake View Acre Road, hit her with his open hands during an argument, police reports stated. Young told police she then struck Powell on the left side of his head with a metal bracket she picked up from the ground.
According to police reports, Powell had a cut, knot and scratches on his head. Officers said Powell's shirt and cap were bloody and that Powell refused treatment for his injuries, police reports stated.
Charges dropped
A charge of theft of services was dropped against Monica Leigh Williams, 25, 407 12th Ave. S.W., Moultrie police said Friday.
Arrests
Donald Reeves Sr., 47, 822 Ninth Ave. S.E., was charged Thursday with simple battery (family violence), Moultrie police reports stated.
Xavier Powell, 20, 164 Lakeview Acre Road, was charged Friday with underage possession of alcohol and released on subpoena, Moultrie police reports stated.
Kyle Dione Bass, 24, Thomasville, was charged Thursday with violation of probation, according to Colquitt County Sheriff's Office reports.
Incidents
Sam Spurlock, age and address unknown, reported Thursday that someone burglarized a maintenance room at the Express Lube located at 502 Rowland Drive, Moultrie police reports stated.
Spurlock said he thinks someone pried a door vent and lock open, police reports stated. Spurlock said the burglar took about $300 in quarters from a change machine. He said it appeared that the offender had a key to the machine.
Angela Horne, 836 Greenfield Church Road, reported Thursday that a tree had fallen on her home and a van and car that were parked in her yard. The tree apparently fell between 5:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., according to Colquitt County Sheriff's Office reports.
