Brad Barber spends some time with children at PRIMETIME at the Moultrie YMCA. Barber has given to the Moultrie YMCA for more than a decade because of the support and opportunities that the Moultrie YMCA can offer to all children in the Colquitt County community.

Since 1997, Brad Barber has been a generous donor of the Moultrie YMCA’s annual campaign.

A father of two, his passion for donating has always stemmed from his love of children.

“There are many benefits of the YMCA in our community but one of the major benefits is the fact that this YMCA creates such a positive impact in the lives of our kids. This positive impact may be through a sports program, childcare or membership,” said Brad. “The more kids we reach the better our community benefits on several different levels.”

The YMCA’s mission is to provide service to all and through generous donations to the Building Better Lives campaign, the Moultrie YMCA was able to provide financial assistance to more than 800 individuals in 2009.

“I support the YMCA through the BBL because I believe in its purpose, its mission and the results. Some are called to serve, some are called to give and most everyone in this community has the gift to give,” Barber added.

Over the years, Barber has given much of his time to various programs throughout the Moultrie YMCA and is in his second term as a YMCA board member.

The 2010 Building Better Lives Campaign kicked off in February with a goal of $100,000 and the campaign will end on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. For more information on how you can impact children and their families, call the Moultrie YMCA at 985-1154.
