AARP Moultrie meets Tuesday, May 12, at the Moultrie-Colquitt County Public Library, 204 Fifth St. S.E.
The meeting will focus on what actions the state Legislature took in 2015. State Rep. Sam Watson, R-Moultrie, is the keynote speaker.
Discussion will also focus about May 15’s Health Fair to be held at Moultrie’s YMCA. Also the DOC FIX which has been labeled MED FIX will be discussed.
Colquitt Regional Medical Center Youth Volunteer Program, YoVo, offers young people not only something to do this summer but a chance to pursue an interest in health care and the potential for a college scholarship.
Applicants must be at least a rising ninth grader, maintain a 3.0 GPA, provide a recommendation from a current teacher or school counselor, and be able to work at least five hours a week.
