The Moultrie AARP will meet at 6 p.m., on Jan. 14, at the Moultrie-Colquitt County Library. The guest speaker will be Gary Cecil, Ethel Andrus Award winner. Also on the agenda will be discussion about the group’s plans to visit the capitol. The group will meet at McDonald’s Restaurant at 5 p.m., for dinner.

Home School in the Park
Reed Bingham State Park will be continuing their Homeschool in the Park program this year. It will be the second Friday of every month from January through May. Topics will cover a wide variety of subjects from trees to bugs and everything in-between.
Children will be split up into two different age groups, session one for ages 5-10 and session two for ages 10-14, in order for the lessons to be on the appropriate level for students.
The first Homeschool in the Park of 2014 will be on Friday, Jan. 10. Attendees will learn all about snakes. The first session of program will start at 10 a.m. and last until noon, and the second session is from 1 until 3 p.m. The cost will be $3 per child.

MHS Class of 1960
