I would like to thank everyone who came to my rescue on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, and went beyond the call of duty to make sure I was okay and safe after a car accident. I was involved in a serious car accident on North Main Street around 2:10 p.m. which required surgery and a two-day stay in the hospital.
I would like to thank the two city workers and Mr. Blount, a store owner who came to my aid immediately following the accident and more than likely helped lead the police officers to the owner of the run away trailer which smashed into my car and sent me into la la land for the next few minutes and to the hospital.
I would like to thank Mrs. Rebecca Dalton and all witnesses from The Department of Family and Children Services and all other witnesses who called 911.
I thank the Moultrie Police Department, especially Officer Underwood, for doing an excellent job of investigating the accident scene and coming to the hospital to notify me that he had found the owner of the trailer and wished me good luck and a speedy recovering from my injuries.
Also, thanks to the Moultrie Fire Department and EMTs for making sure I was stable and for transporting me to the hospital safely and keeping me calm after the serious accident I just experienced. I give a special thanks to the staff of Colquitt County Medical Center for doing an awesome job of taking care of me for the next two days I stayed in the hospital and making my visit as comfortable as possible. I was upset and in a lot of pain but everyone from the nurses and doctors to house keepers and others did a wonderful job of making sure I was well taken care of and meeting my family and my needs during this stressful time.
Although I am still in a lot of pain, I am grateful to be alive and without the help of some good Samaritans, I don't know what my family or I would have done. Again thanks to all who were there for me during my time of need.
