I sent the following letter to Senator Saxby Chambliss, and I urge your readers to do the same:
Dear Saxby, I am writing to ask that you speak up in favor of Russ Feingold’s censure resolution. When you were practicing law in Moultrie, you wouldn’t have had to think twice about whether or not the president should be subject to the rule of law, or whether the president should have to answer to the people when he deliberately breaks the law.
I haven’t looked up your voting record, but I suspect you voted to impeach President Clinton for lying to a grand jury. Will you hold George W. Bush to the same standard, or do you think that if the president is a member of your party, he should get a pass when he violates his oath of office, FISA, and the Fourth Amendment?
