Dear editor:

A friend said to me today, the demise of democracy’s life span has been extended. Our form of democracy now includes facism (dictatorship that exalts nation and race) and communism (social organization in which goods are held in common.

I think this a false premise. Our founders warned, if democracy is not well nurtured, it is doomed to faliure. Facism and communism act as cancer cells to a healthy democracy, not recognized in time, it destroys.

The citizens of other nations who are true admirers of our form of democracy will soon recognize a change even before our own citizens recognize that our government changed history in the classrooms by only slight mention of our founding fathers and the Constitution written while in fear of their lives.

They are quoted as saying, “If we do not at this time in history hang together  then most assuredly we shall hang separately.”

Check our history books, more is written about the history of the civil rights movement and lifting up of Rev. Martin Luther King  that our beloved Constitution and our founding fathers.

Is it wrong to lavish praise on the civil rights movement and minimize the greatness of the founding fathers? You decide.
