Beef O’ Brady’s has opened the 2010 Farm League baseball season by winning its first two games.
On Monday, Beef O’Brady’s won its opener 14-12 over Wendy’s with Ethan Phillips going 4-for-4. Wilson Hewitt and Colby Payne each added three hits and Trace Eakins, Tucker Buckner and Bill Mitchell each had two.
Jake Merritt, Reid Pipkin, Corey Newsome, Wil Horne and Blayton Duncan each had three hits and Caleb Ashley and Garrison Peacock each had two for Wendy’s.
On Tuesday, Eakins hadthree hits and Buckner had two to lead Beef O’Brady’s to an 8-6 vicory over Random Designs.
Max Figueroa went 3-for-3 and Carson Asbell had two hits for Random Design.
Also in Farm League play on Monday, Rocky’s won its opener, defeating Southwest Georgia bank 11-9.
T.J. Williams and Kolby Walden each had three hits and Tanner Lamb, James Paul Reeves, Walt Anthony Brown and Joshua Sims had two each for Rocky’s.
Raines Plant had three and Blake Tillery, SaBreon Greene, Ian Coulder and William Henry each had two hits for Southwest Georgia Bank.
In Farm League play on Tuesday, Knight’s Electric won its first game of the season, defeating Ameris 10-0.
Cameron Singletary went 3-for-3 and Dylan Collins, Hunter Kubiak and Samari Louis each had two hits for Knight’s Electric.
Hayes Sumner had two hits for Ameris.
Wendy’s also got a shutout in its opener, beating Southwest Georgia Bank 16-0.
Caleb Ashley and Reid Pipkin each went went 3-for-3 and Jake Merritt, Wil Horne, Blayton Duncan and Garrett Folsom each had two hits for Wendy’s.
In Tuesday’s other Farm League game, Lazarus won its opener over Farm Bureau 11-1.
Jared Horne, Lane Webb, Tanner Wilson, Zachary Moncrief, Jed Hart, Dante Moore and Keontre Stubbs each had two hits for Lazarus. Turner Sircy had two hits for Farm Bureau.
In Monday’s opening night of Midget League play, Quality Employment edged Mobley Plant 13-12.
Griffin Simmons was the winning pitcher and joined Ian Brinson in getting two hits for the Quality Employment.
For Mobley Plant, Javan Parten went 3-for-3 with a grand slam; Jamie Hurst also went 3-for-3; Demetrius Walker had a home run; and Taylor Buckner and Michael Benton each had two hits.
In Monday’s other Midget League game, Southwest Georgia Insurance won over Market Barbecue 10-7.
Trey Clark was the winning pitcher and Codi Noble also pitched for Southwest Georgia Insurance, which got a home run from Tristan Wells.
Hayden Bledsoe had two hits for Market Barbecue.
On Tuesday in Midget League, Davis Insurance outlasted Hutchinson-Traylor 18-11.
George Zeanah was the winning pitcher and Logan Wheeler and Tyler Summerlin each had two hits for Davis Insurance. Wheeler had a home run.
Jacob Coots had two hits for Hutchinson-Taylor.
Also on Tuesday, Southwest Georgia Bank defeated Ameris 7-2 with Joseph Gould as the winning pitcher.
Gould, Kevin Snyder, Taylor Willis and Cody Mullis each had two hits for Southwest Georgia Bank. Wheeler Hunnicutt had two hits for Ameris.
In Monday’s Tiny Mites, Hutson Motors defeated Southwest Georgia Bank 9-3 and Larry’s Bait and Tackle won over Stone’s 5-3. On Tuesday, Baell’s defeated Mobley Plant 11-4 and Beef O’Brady’s defeated Snap Fitness 15-8.
