MOULTRIE - The Bulldogs and the Storm have opened the Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Department's football program for 9- and 10-year-olds with a pair of victories this week.

The league for 7- and 8-year-olds and 11- and 12-year-olds will open on Tuesday.

In Tuesday's opening night of 9-10 football, the Hawgs opened their season with a 30-13 victory over the Baby Rams. The Players of the Game for the Hawgs were Prentice Stone and Darius Love. The top players for the Baby Rams were Justin McDaniel and Zac Goodno.

The Storm also opened with a victory, defeating the Falcons 19-12. The top players for the Storm were Jamiel Melvin and Alec Daniels and for the Falcons were Jeffrey Worthy and Tevin Hightower.

The Bulldogs began their season with a 13-0 shutout of the Packers.

The Players of the Game were, for the Bulldogs, Jonathan Mobley and Blake Stamps, and for the Packers, Jonah Meister and Daylon Connell.

The Bulldogs went to 2-0 with a 13-6 victory over the Hawgs (1-1) on Thursday. The Players of the Game for Bulldogs were Garret Brewer and Davis Edwards. The outstanding players for the Hawgs were Darius Love and Prentice Stone.

The Storm also is 2-0 thanks to its 20-0 victory over the Packers (0-2). The top players for the Storm were Marshall Cone and Skyler Lindsey. For the Packers, the top players were Justin Grant and Bobby Hill.

The Vikings played their first game of the season on Thursday and took a 24-14 win over the Falcons (0-2). The top players for the Vikings were Dillan Harrington and Dehryan Arnold. The Falcons top players were Tommy Barden and Ronnie Caldwell.

Henry Lee is coaching the Baby Rams. His players include Gary Thomas Jr., Christian Edwards, Justin McDaniel, Zac Goodno, Angel Gonzalez, Joel Gonzalez, Tanner Hargraves, Tevorge Sumlin, Jason Sharpe, Colby Croy, Keveeis Edwards, Dalton Murfin, Daquin Nelson, Matthew Sailor, Bret Smith, Kalib Smith, Martin Williamson and Rukevious Williams.

The Bulldogs, coached by Patrick Mobley, include Jonathan Mobley, Garrett Brewer, Davis Edwards, Preston Mobley, Caleb Boyd, David Brown, J.J. Coleman, Stevie Daniels, Cornelius James, Stephen Mare, Blake Stamps, Rich Tyndall, Tanner White, Kinard Hall, Tevorge Suggs, Levi Jones, Cameron Klar, Hunter White and Derrious Williams.

The Hawgs, coached by Scott Merritt, include Darius Love, Felix Valdez, Christopher Rosales, Demien Bentley, Brandon Reynolds, Ahmad Weeks, Rashad Weeks, Quantarius Corbin, Edarius Davis, Quartavan Spivey, Prentice Stone, Seth Williams, Dakota Thompson, Quenterius Daniels, Easley Nagee, Devin Hadley, Trystan Jordan, Christian Smith, Kainane Williams and Quen Walker.

Shannon Dickerson is coaching the Packers.
