MOULTRIE -- Trailing 2-1 with 15 minutes left against Thomasville in a non-Region 1-AAAAA road game on Wednesday, Colquitt County's girls soccer team did not panic.

Instead, the Lady Packers scored three more times to take a 4-2 victory.

The win gets the Lady Packers up to .500 after opening with a 1-0 loss to Warner Robins on Monday.

Colquitt's boys completed the sweep with an 8-0 victory over coach Jeff Morris's alma mater.

Colquitt's girls tied the game on a goal by Chrissy Davis with 14:58 remaining.

Just over two minutes later, Whitney Hood knocked what proved to be the game-winner.

Davis sealed the victory when she scored again with 9:41 left.

Sha Wetherington had the Lady Packers first-half goal, scoring off an assist by Sara Fleetwood.

Paige Montooth assisted on Davis's first goal. Jessica Vick had the assist on the second.

Courtney Sofferin scored both of Thomasville's goals, one on a penalty kick.

"I was proud of the way we came back," Lady Packers coach Jimbo Jarvis said. "That was a real shot in the arm.

"And I'm proud of the way our defense played."

Colquitt's 2-0 boys team had little trouble with the Bulldogs in the second game, taking a 4-0 lead in the first half, then scoring four more times in a space of three minutes in the second half after Jorge Malagon was flipped in the air and fell on his head.

Morris said Malagon could have returned to the game and was pleased with the way his team responded to the hard tackle.

Randhal Tovilla got the only goal the Packers would need when he scored in the seventh minute. Malagon scored off an assist from Austin Akridge a minute-and-a-half later to make it 2-0.

In the 19th minute, Akridge scored to make it 3-0 with Malagon getting the assist. Nestor Perez scored in the 34th minute to make it 4-0 at the half.

The second half was quiet until Tovilla scored in the 75th minute with Will Phillips assisting. Less than a minute later, Jesus Mundo scored, with Phillips again getting the assist.

Mundo got his second goal in the 76th minute and Perez got his second of the game and fourth of season in the 78th minute.
