MOULTRIE — Davis Insurance defeated Mobley Plant 10-4 on Wednesday at the Magnolia Sports Complex to forge a tie atop the Midget League baseball standings.

Harper-McCall and Davis Insurance are both 9-1 and have split their two meeting.

Davis won 6-5 over Harper-McCall on Tuesday. Harper-McCall won the game between the two teams on April 17, 6-3.

Both teams have four games remaining.

On Wednesday, in a game that had been rained out on May 5, Kodi Bishop was the winning pitcher for Davis Insurance.

Cole Bryant had two hits, including a home run, for Davis. Teammate Cleyber Notos also had two hits.

In a Pony League game makeup game on Wednesday, Edwards Motors defeated Quality Employment 11-7.

Austin Mercer was the winning pitcher. Garrett Pearce and Cameron Matthew s each had three hits and Andy Bush added two for Edwards Motors, now 7-3.

John Gray had two hits, including a long home run, for Quality Employment.

In Southwest Georgia Bank’s 18-0 Pony League victory over Ameris on Tuesday, Blake Bennett had a grand slam.

Also on Wednesday in a Farm League makeup game, Ameris pounded Lazarus 11-1.

Walter Weeks had three hits to lead Ameris.

Hayden Suggs, Alex Everett, Mack Crosby, Daniel Reed and Owen Harrell each had two hits for Ameris, now 7-3.

Lane Webb had two hits for Lazarus, now 6-3.
