MOULTRIE – Colquitt County had scheduled a scrimmage against Lee County for Aug. 7, but the game was not played when the Georgia High School Association canceled all such games.

MOULTRIE — When asked about his thoughts on Colquitt County’s 2020 football season, senior wide receiver Lemeke Brockington could have talked about reaching 100 career catches, impressing the coaches at the University of Minnesota or moving up on the Packers all-time touchdown receptions list.

MOULTRIE – Colquitt County High School has canceled the first two football games of the season after it was learned that a number of players would have to be placed in quarantine after potential exposure to the coronavirus.

MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County football team has filled a couple of holes on its schedule, but one of the additions means traveling to the Atlanta area in Week 2.

MOULTRIE – When he heard that a third Colquitt County High softball game against Coffee High had been called off by inclement weather, a notable and observant local sports fan noted on Facebook, “That’s 3 strikes … you’re out.”

MOULTRIE – The Colquitt County softball team came back from a seven-run, first-inning deficit to tie defending Class 7A state champion Mountain View on Saturday, only to fall on a walk-off home run.

MOULTRIE – The Colquitt County volleyball team won three straight sets from Mitchell County on Tuesday on the William Bryant Court and will get a chance to start the season with two straight victories when Valdosta visits at 7 p.m. Thursday.
