MOULTRIE – The Colquitt County middle school boys golf team got a score of 65 from Michael Hall and Harrison Brown and a 69 from Cavin Hall and John Davis Summerlin in a season-opening two-man scramble on Monday at Francis Lake Golf Club in Lake Park.

MOULTRIE — Colquitt County’s Davis Hall was first in the 8-and-under age group and his brothers Michael and Cavin were second and fifth respectively in 12-14 age group in the North America Junior Golf’s Sunset Country Club Shootout held February 21.

VALDOSTA – Valdosta head football coach Rush Propst said he is unaware of being the focus of an investigation and Valdosta City Schools is reviewing allegations made against the coach in a recent court deposition.

VALDOSTA - The Colquitt County boys soccer team broke a 1-1 tie with two second-half goals on the way to a 3-1 road victory over Valdosta on Tuesday.

VALDOSTA– Chase Blanton shot a 74 and Tucker Brown had a 79 to lead the Colquitt County boys golf team to a ninth-place finish in Saturday’s Wildcat Invitational at Kinderlou Forest in Valdosta.

MOULTRIE – For the third straight game to open the 2021 season, the Colquitt County baseball team gave up first-inning runs and were unable to overcome them, falling to Starr’s Mill 11-6 on Friday in the home-opener on Ike Aultman Field at Jerry Croft Stadium.

MOULTRIE – After the Colquitt County baseball team opened its 2021 season with a pair of low-scoring, one-run losses this week, coach Matt Crews had this to say: “That’s what happens when you don’t hit a bunch. Obviously, it was two one-run games against two good ball clubs.”
