MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County junior varsity softball team swept Lee County on Monday at Packer Park to get its record back up over .500 at 6-5.

Bailey Howard pitched both games and allowed just one run and struck out seven over nine innings.

The JV Lady Packers won the first game 13-0 via the run rule in four innings.

Howard went the distance and struck out three.

Mary Logan Tostenson had a two-run triple in the game. Savannah Dauphin had a single.

Howard, Sydnee Dalton, Emily Dozier, Daylynn Dell and Anna Dale Roberts also drove in runs for the Lady Packers.

Colquitt won the nightcap 2-1 with Howard allowing just the one run while striking out four.

Dauphin, Dalton and Dozier had the Lady Packers base hits.

Dozier drove in a run.

The junior varsity Packers, who stretched their winning streak to three games, will play next on Monday, Sept. 8, when they travel to Leesburg to take on Lee County in a doubleheader.
