MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County middle school soccer teams opened the 2015 season with a pair of non-South Georgia Athletic Conference shutouts over Tift County on Thursday at Packer Park.

The middle school Lady Packers started the sweep with a 3-0 victory over the Lady Devils team made up of sixth-graders.

The middle school boys got three goals each from Pedro Luna and Chris Rivera in a 10-0 mercy rule victory.

Coached by former Packer Tyler Dismuke, the middle school boys also got two goals from Ruben Gonzalez and one each from Licson Regis and Abram Sanchez.

Luna got the mercy-rule goal with six minutes remaining.

Rivera, Sanchez and Gonzalez are eighth-graders. Regis and Luna are seventh-graders.

The Packers led 5-0 at the half.

The rest of the team includes Alex Juan, Adair Hernandez, Alyxander Gant, Elijah Vasquez, Evan Hiers, Yohan Garcia, Tyrek Lee, Alex Romulo, Joseph Contreras, Leroy Valdez Jr., Caden Summerlin, Carson Hoes, Hunter Kebler, Jacob Boyd, Bobby Ussery, John Reid, Garrison Glen, Bryan Jimenez, J.D. Rice, Anthony Jaminez, George Barber, Ulises Malagon, Neal Trejo, Juan Pascual, Jeorge Perez and David Martin.

The middle school girls got goals from Danielle Brown, Lexi McDaniel, Mahalah Gonzalez and Ragan Harden.

The rest of the roster includes Alaina Taylor, Sabrina Mestey, Chloe Gould, Karina Martinez, Katie Galphin, Lauren Bryant, Leslie Nunez, Jada Bynum, Kaylee Brinson, Josie Sellers, Sallie Fuller, Edelma Velazquez, Yessi Dragustinovis, Reagan Young, Chloe Sumner, Aubrey McDaniel, Daliza Gachuz, Joylinn Del Angel, Josie Parker, Mary Madelyn Jacobs, Julia Warnock, Jami Kling and Demecia Torres.

The middle school girls coach is veteran Ashley Hill. Jay Ussery is his assistant.
