MOULTRIE — The team of brothers Andy Blanton and Kevin Blanton are in a four-way tie for the lead after the first round of the Ramsey Pidcock Invitational as they try to repeat their 2005 championship.

Also atop the championship flight leader board are the twosomes of Trey Freeman and Jay Cason, Adam Cooper and Jared Garrity and Clay Canty and Jason Jones.

All four shot a first-day 64.

Three teams are one shot back, including the 2018 champion duo of Andrew Dismuke and Todd Hilton.

Also at 65 are Taylor Cooksey and Brock Young and Bubba Bailey and Travis Lane.

At 66 are Jared Bridges and Jonathan Bridges. Mark Masey and Blake Clanton, playing in the first flight, also shot 66.

Scott George and Jason Blanton, the third Blanton brother playing in Ramsey Pidcock, lead the second flight with a 68. The third flight leader is the team of Russ Beggs and Forest Wisener, which turned in a 68.

The 65th edition of the Ramsey Pidcock will conclude today with a final round that tees off at 7:30 a.m. at Sunset Country Club.
