M&M Diesel broke open a 3-3 game by scoring seven runs in the fifth and going on to defeat Harrell Auto Electric 10-4 on Monday in a Mite girls softball game.
The seven-run inning was highlighted by Kelli Johnson’s three-run home run. Johnson went 3-for-3 in the game and scored three runs.
Tangela Haynes hit a home run for Harrell Auto Electric.
The win was the first of the season for M&M Diesel, now 1-2. Harrell falls to 2-1.
In Monday’s other Mite League game, Dairy Queen shut out Park Regency 10-0.
Hannah Hood, Camille Singletary, Jenna Furney and Eriyona Stokes each scored two runs for Dairy Queen.
Fuller’s Fried Chicken got its first Junior girls victory over the season on Monday, defeating Bull Durham Insurance 12-3.
Nikki Edge and Marcella Crumpton each scored three runs and Kara Lee Holton and Gracie Cobb scored twice for Fuller’s.
Shana Sangster scored twice for Bull Durham Insurance.
In Monday’s other Junior League game, Moultrie Health Care defeated Adams and Adams 9-5.
Brittany Perry, Daylynn Dell and Mackenzie Simmons each scored two runs for Moultrie Health Care.
In Monday’s Tiny Mites, Little Debbie shut out Little Caesar’s 18-0 to raise its record to 3-0.
Jennifer Maurico, Jada Horne, Reagan Young, Kylie Davis, Zy’Nautica Hudson, Christine Cox, Caitlyn David and Lizette Nunez each scored twice for Little Debbie.
Barfield Realty edged Wonderland 10-9 in Monday’s other Tiny Mite game.
Maggie Parker, Sadie Norman, Jadan Harrell, Allie Boatwright and Gracie Roland scored twice for Barfield Realty.
Kaylee Barwick, Jaleigh Beck and Anna Grace Tillery each scored two runs for Wonderland.
