MOULTRIE -- The Colquitt County Pressure, winners of the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association' District 3 girls fast-pitch championship, will open state play today.
Pressure will meet tournament host Vidalia at 3 p.m. today in the opening game of the GRPA Class B Junior Girls tournament in Vidalia.
The tournament will continue on Friday and the championship game is scheduled for noon Saturday.
Also playing first-round games today will be Calhoun, representing District 5, against Jones County of District 6; Glynn County of District 2 against Harris County of District 4; and Lyons County of District 1 against Jackson County of District 7.
The Colquitt County-Vidalia winner will advance to play the Calhoun-Jones County winner at 12:30 p.m. Friday.
Colquitt County Pressure includes Leigh Norman, Shayna Owens, Ashley Chafin, Morgan Jones, Lunden Connell, Jenna Griner, Ashley Skeen, Camille James, Lori Griner, Maggie Davidson and Ashley Everett. The coaches are Carol Norman, Al Norman and Rusty Davidson.
