MOULTRIE — Caroline Rogers won one gold medal, one silver medal and two bronze medals to help lead the Moultrie Sharks Swim Team in the the Thomasville Invitational held Saturday.

Rogers also had a fourth-place finish and was the second-place high-point finisher in the girls 16-18 age group.

The Thomasville meet was the last for the Sharks before this weekend’s District swim meet in Tifton.

The District meet is the qualifier for the state meet, which will be held this year in Tifton.

Rogers’ finishes gave her 33 of her team’s 146 points. The 15-year-old Rogers was second in her age group to Brandy Eby, 18, of the Stone Creek Coral Reef team.

She was the only member of the Sharks to place in the top four in an age group.

Rogers placed first in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:17.02

Her second-place finish was in the 50-yard breaststroke.

She was third in both the 100-yard freestyle and the 50-yard freestyle.

Her fourth-place finish was in the 50-yard butterfly.

Also winning a bronze medal in Thomasville was Jared Hanna, who was third in the 15-18 boys 50-yard breaststroke with a 33.31.

The Sharks 18-and-under 200-yard medley relay team of Austin Dorminey, Andy Alekseichuk, Austin Vines and Connor Walsh turned in a third-place finish.

The same four also finished third in the 200-yard freestyle relay event.

The girls 13-and-under 200-yard freestyle relay team also earned a bronze medal.

The team included Haley Goodman, Ansley Moore, Staci Repass and Samantha Price.

Austin Vines also had fourth-place finishes in the 50-yard backstroke and the 50-yard butterfly in the 11-12 boys age group.

The Tallahassee Aquatic Club took first place in the meet, scoring 842 points.

The Tiftarea YMCA Tidal Wave was second with 505 points and was followed by the Thomasville Riptide, Cairo, the Douglas Swim Team, Marianna, Stone Creek, Bainbridge Extreme, the Sharks, the Valdosta YMCA Piranhas, the Darton Aqua-Darts and the Columbia Swim Team.
