Nate Creech had two hits for the Ameris Farm League team on Thursday.

Southwest Georgia Bank won its fourth Midget League game in a row on Thursday, using the pitching of Dylan Collins and a home run by Tucker Hathcock to defeat Mobley Plant 5-3 at the Magnolia Sports Complex.

Seth Gay and Max Figueroa each had two hits and Collins and Caleb Ashley each had one as SGB raised its record to 5-1 and climb atop the league standings.

Dylan Dalton, Gavin Patel and Wil Horne each had a hit for Mobley Plant, 3-2.

Hutchinson-Traylor got a home run from Cory Newsome in its 10-5 victory over Southwest Georgia Insurance in Thursday’s other Midget League game.

Ian Caulder was the winning pitcher as Raines Plant had two hits and Jared Horne added another to helps Hutchinson-Traylor raise its record to 4-1.

Reid Pipkin had two hits and Henry Daniels, Carson Johnston and Jaycee Harden each had one for Southwest Georgia Insurance, 2-3.

Farm League-leading Paradise Pool and Patio gained a little separation on Thursday when it defeated second-place Lazarus 15-3.

Gabe Horne, Nathan Corley, Jacob Bell and John Rodriguez each had two hits for Paradise Pool and Patio, still unbeaten at 6-0.

Casey Vinson had two hits for Lazarus, which falls to 4-2.

Zaxby’s pounded Ameris 19-4 in Thursday’s other Farm League game.

Jeb Johnson and Mack Suber each had three hits an Omarian Daniels, Jacob Boyd, Logan Bratcher, Zachary O’Kelley, Levi Stanfill, Chase Willis and Garrett Morris each had two for Zaxby’s, 2-4.

Tucker Pitts, Evan Taylor, Nate Creech, Bradley Smith and Lane Fields each had two hits for Ameris. Creech had an inside-the-park home run.

In Thursday’s Tiny Mites, Larry’s Bait and Tackle defeated Baell Mercantile 9-7 and is the lone undefeated team in the league.

Also on Thursday, Mobley Plant won over Holman Supply 8-3.
