MOULTRIE -- VFW kept its grip on first place in Pony League with a 6-3 victory over Doerun on Tuesday.

Cory Bridwell was the winning pitcher and Jay Wingate had two hits for VFW, now 9-2. Andrew Wallace had a home run.

Doerun falls to 6-4-1.

In Tuesday's other Pony League game, Southwest Georgia Bank defeated Bank of America 6-2.

Tyler Perryman was the winning pitcher and had two hits for Southwest Georgia Bank, now 6-4.

Bank of America is now 7-4.

In Tuesday's Midget League action, Bank of America won its seventh game of the season, shutting out Clements Pools 2-0.

Rob Rojas was the winning pitcher, striking out 12 and posting his third shutout of the season.

Russ DeMott had three hits and Clark Coleman two for Bank of America, now 7-2. Cory Hancock struck out 10 for Clements Pools, now 5-3.

Southwest Georgia Bank climbed over the .500 mark with its 8-4 victory over Harper-McCall on Tuesday.

Yale Holton was the winning pitcher and had two hits. D.J. Vanzant also had two hits and Sid Baker had three for Southwest Georgia Bank, now 4-3.

Eric Butler and Travion Littleton each had two hits for Harper-McCall, now 1-6.

In Tuesday's other Midget League game, Quality Employment edged Mobley Plant 7-6.

Bryan Willis was the winning pitcher and he and Anthony Cortez each had two hits for Quality Employment, now 4-4.

Grayson Campbell and Michael Carroll each had two hits for Mobley Plant, now 5-3. One of Carroll's hits was a home run.

In Tuesday's Farm League action, Rocky's raised its record to 5-2 with a 5-3 victory over Wendy's.

Stephen Moore had two hits for Rocky's. Jeffrey Graves and Daylon Connell each had two hits for Wendy's, now 5-3-1.

Also on Tuesday, Random Designs shutout Lazarus 10-0.

Landon Bass and Skylar Lindsey each had three hits and John Thomas Sumner, Austin Sullivan and Ahmad Weeks each had two for Random Designs, 2-9.

Lazarus drops to 2-7.

Sutton System defeated Bank of America 4-2 in Tuesday's other Farm League game.

The victory raised Sutton System's record to 4-3-1. Bank of America, which got two hits from Dillon Presley, is now 3-4.

In Tuesday's Tiny Mite action, Mobley Plant defeated Holman Supply 14-5 and Rocky's won over Larry's Bait and Tackle 11-7.
