MOULTRIE — Tristan Wells has entered two middle school diving meets this season and has won them both.

Wells won his second meet last weekend at the Marist School War Eagle Middle School Invitational.

The Willie J. Williams Middle School seventh-grader turned in a six-dive score of 224.19 to defeat Pace Academy’s Harrison Moncino by eight points.

Wells also took first place in the Westminster Junior High Diving Invitational in Atlanta in early November, turning in a score of 232.30 on his six-dive list.

In that meet, he defeated Pace Academy’s Owen Moncino by more than 57 points.

“He’s entered two meets this year and has won them both,” said coach Ed Goodman.

“I’m real proud of what he’s done.”

Wells is a member of Colquitt County’s Moss Farms Diving program.

“He’s one of our up-and-comers,” said Goodman, who is the Moss Farms Diving coach.

“He’s right on schedule and he’s going to be a good high school diver too.”
