Anderson Glenn, Javier Martinez and the May brothers turned in sterling performances as the Colquitt County wrestling team split a pair of matches at Cairo High on Thursday.
The Packers defeated Berrien 47-36, but fell to the Syrupmakers 54-29.
Glenn, wrestling at 138, pushed his record to 7-0, earning technical fall victories in both matches.
Martinez won by forfeit against Berrien, but got his eighth pin of the season against Cairo, running his record to 13-1.
Garrett May won both of his matches by pin at 145 pounds.
Hudson May also pinned both of his opponents at 152. Garrett is now 12-2 with 10 pins this season. Hudson is 11-2 with nine pins.
Also against Berrien, Christopher Bullard won by a pin over the Rebels Bradie May at 106. Landon Rehberg won by a pin over Billy Parr at 132. Dalton Murfin also got the Packers six points with his pin at 160.
Murfin got his second pin of the day against Cairo.
The Packers are now 8-6 in dual meets. Colquitt opened competition in the Capital City Classic in Tallahassee on Friday.
